The Vegreville Vipers Junior A Hockey Team Billet Family Program
The Vegreville Vipers are looking for families in the Vegreville area who are interested in opening their homes to the team’s players. Our goal is to give the players a home away from home during the season. Billets play a vital role in the success and operation of any junior hockey organization and will be crucial to the success of the Vegreville Vipers. It is possible that many of the players will be from outside the Vegreville community and will require accommodations.
Our hope is that our Billet Families will provide our players with a strong support network and a family environment that will make a significant difference in the lives of our players who have left their own families in pursuit of their goals and dreams. Billeting can be a tremendous experience in which you can share in a young person’s ambitions and develop a lifelong connection with an individual and his family from around the province, the country, and the world. The rewards can be immeasurable. It has been noted that many billet families still keep in contact with their players after they move on to college and professional hockey.
Billet families will receive compensation in the amount of $500.00 per month for each player, and they will also receive 1 season ticket for home games and invitations to private team events. Billet families will need to provide a Criminal Records Check and Child Welfare Check to qualify.
